Getting to the church
Address: St Mary’s RC Church, Jarrow, Glasgow Road, NE32 4AU
Public Transport: Brockley Whins Metro and Bede Metro are a short walk (15 minutes) from the church. Brockley Whins is on the Newcastle to Sunderland (South Hylton) line. Bede is on the Newcastle to South Shields line. Note that Brockley Whins is preferred as it was Bethany and Robert’s station growing up.
There is also ample car parking at the church.
Getting to the Old Barn
Address: Old Barn, South Causey Inn, Beamish Burn Road, Stanley, County Durham, DH9 0LS
A bus will be available to take guests from the church to the wedding reception at the South Causey Inn. Spaces are limited to 65 seats, so if you would like to reserve a spot, please indicate your interest when you RSVP. Please note that a taxi will be required for the return journey from the reception.
If you would prefer to make your own way to the wedding reception, there will be reserved parking at the South Causey Inn directly outside the Old Barn.
Where to Stay
For those travelling by train, the nearest stations are Newcastle and Durham. Both are great places to stay, but Newcastle is slightly better connected and offers an easier journey to the church by Metro on the morning of the wedding.
There are also a limited number of rooms available at the South Causey Inn that you can book directly with the venue.
